What To Expect

We want your experience to be as smooth as possible - here’s what you can expect at our clinics, from evaluation to discharge.

  • Initial Evaluation

Once we recieve a referral for treatment from your doctor, as well as authorization from your insurance, one of our licensed therapists will conduct a 1-on-1 initial evaluation with you. This process may take up to 30 minutes - we also ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork.

  • Treatment

After your initial evaluation, our office will call you once we recieve authorization for treatment from your insurance. Expect to set aside 45 minutes to 1 hour for a full session. Treatment typically consists of modalities, therapeutic activities, and instruction and review of personalized Home Exercise Programs.

  • Re-Evaluation

At the end of your authorized visits, you will be re-evaluated by the therapist who conducted your initial evaluation. At this time, you will be able to request more therapy, or request discharge from therapy, depending on your progress and desire to continue.

  • Modalities

During your treatment visit, we may apply therapeutic modalities to decrease pain and prepare you for exercise and activity. Depending on your needs, modalities may include: Electrical Stimulation, Ultrasound, Heat/Ice, Massage, or Traction.

  • Activities

We have a variety of activities available in our clinics. Expect to spend time working on range of motion, pain management, and strengthening, with different exercises and tools utilized in our Physical, Occupational, and Aquatic therapies.

  • Home Program

During your visit, you may be instructed in activities from a Home Exercise Program. This program is intended for you to practice regularly in your home, in order to build and maintain the skills we address in the clinic. Never hesitate to ask questions about your Home Exercise Program.
